A poster for a workshop called she get it from her mama.

Do you have a daughter or mother that you struggle to get along with? Do you see other women getting along with their mothers/daughters and wish that could be you? Perhaps you're tired of fighting or just tired of feeling distant. You love your mom/daughter, but the relationship doesn't always feel loving. If any of this feels familiar, this workshop is for you.

Join mother-daughter duo Angela Habeebullah (attorney, mediator and marriage educator) and Nadirah Habeebullah (licensed marriage and family therapist) for an intimate and interactive workshop geared toward helping mothers and daughters increase their connection, improve communication and begin on the path of healing past hurt.

Some of the topics covered will include defining and understanding generational trauma, identifying and controlling emotions, effective non-violent communication skills and nurturing rituals.

This event is geared toward women with daughters who are at least 13 years old. While it is best for attend in pairs or groups, individuals can also attend and take the information back to their family.

We look forward to sharing space with you. Let us know if you have questions!

  • Does it HAVE to be a mother-daughter pair? Can I bring a granddaughter, niece, etc?

Yes, you can. This event is fitting for anyone in a caregiver role, anyone who wants to improve a relationship with a girl/woman who they are close to.

  • My mother/daughter isn't available? Can I come alone?

Yes, you can. Each attendee will receive a workbook that she can use to record information and return it home to share.
